Every second listing in Mohali claims Airport Road. The useful version is a measured drive, not a pin dropped on the highway.

Airport Road, also called PR-7, is the spine between the Chandigarh side and the airport. Projects use it as an address even when the gate is a long internal road away. “Airport Road Mohali property” should mean you have driven from the highway junction to the gate, at the hour you care about, and written down the minutes. A pin on the highway is not that drive.
What to time
- From your workplace to the highway, then from the highway to the gate. Both legs.
- From the gate to the airport if that is why you are paying the premium.
- The service road and the U-turn. A project can sit beside PR-7 and still be awkward to enter.
- Noise, if the tower faces the highway. A balcony over six lanes is not a garden.
Commercial buyers should care about the same road for a different reason: will a customer find the showroom without a phone call. A shop “near Airport Road” that sits behind two turns is a different rent. Read the commercial guide before you price a yield.

Are highway-facing flats a good buy?
They can be, if you want the approach and you have stood on that floor with the window open. They are a poor buy if you wanted a quiet internal park and did not notice the road.
How many minutes is “near the airport”?
The number you measure, not the number on the hoarding. Ten minutes at noon can be twenty-five at 8:30.
